Come Dine With Me is back for a new series ready to deliver more fantastic food and a collection of competitive cooks ready to shock and delight with an eccentric mix of hosting styles.

Every week five strangers who love to entertain take it in turns to throw a dinner party in their own personal style. But this is a feast with a twist: after each dinner, the guests secretly score the host a mark out of ten. The food and the atmosphere are taken into account when scoring. And at the week’s end, the top-scoring chef wins £1000 in cash.

All the contestants think they know exactly what makes the perfect dinner party, but unfortunately, their guests don’t always agree. Is pole dancing the ideal after dinner entertainment? And are live locusts just a step too far as an hors d’oeuvre? Filmed all over Britain, hosts from all walks of life take the Come Dine With Me challenge – providing astonishing and hilarious insights into their homes and their dinner party secrets.
